History and development
Established in 2016, the Center for Institutional Research is a unit of the Office of Research and Development. The central mission of CIR is to promote data-driven decision making for academic planning and institutional operation. CIR is responsible for advancing institutional research, coordinating middle range school development plan and school evaluation, and campus planning.
Goals
- To support strategic planning and decision-making through data analytics, including the presentation and distribution of relevant information, issue analyses, and peer comparisons.
- To respond to data requests for world university rankings.
- To collaborate with NCHU’s administration offices and academic programs in order to facilitates the flow of information, to identify information needs, and to develop analyses for decision-making, policy development, and review.
- To build relationships with external organizations, agencies, professionals, and vendors for professional development and to expand the data resources available to the University.
